EVERGREEN GROVE ? CARE FARMING PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SUD AND MH DISORDERS - ROOTS AT EVERGREEN GROVE IS A PROGRAM LOCATED AT GAAMHA'S 115 ACRE THERAPEUTIC FARM CAMPUS WHERE WE USE A CARE FARMING/GREEN CARE MODALITY TO CARE FOR PEOPLE IMPACTED BY SUBSTANCE MISUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES. ROOTS PROVIDES BOTH EARLY INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT SERVICES TO YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 12-24. BY HIRING AN ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME CLINICIAN AND TWO THERAPEUTIC FARM ASSISTANTS, WE CAN REDUCE OUR WAITLIST AND SERVE AN ADDITIONAL 30 PARTICIPANTS PER WEEK AND A MINIMUM OF 60 UNDUPLICATED PARTICIPANTS DURING THE COURSE OF THE FUNDING CYCLE. THE FUNDING WILL ALLOW US TO HIRE ADDITIONAL CLINICAL STAFF, REDUCE WAITLISTS, AND DELIVER CLINICAL CARE TO A VASTLY UNDERSERVED AND GROWING POPULATION.
