PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES TO STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS WHO HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO SUCCEED IN THE MAINSTREAM SETTING. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE SENDING SCHOOL SYSTEM, FAMILIES AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS INVOLVED WITH STUDENTS, THE STAFF AT ELIZABETH IVES SCHOOL UTILIZE A TEAM APPROACH TO SUPPORT THE STUDENT IN DEVELOPING THE SKILLS AND PERCEPTIONS NECESSARY TO BE SUCCESSFUL. IT IS THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE SCHOOL TO SUPPORT STUDENTS IN REACHING THEIR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL BY GIVING THEM THE APPROPRIATE ACADEMIC, SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SUPPORTS WHILE UTILIZING STRENGTH-BASED STRATEGIES AND INTERVENTIONS.
