THE PROJECT IS TO RENOVATE THIS NEW BUILDING, SO THAT THE FIRST FLOOR AND THE GARAGE OUT BACK (WHICH NEEDS TO BE TORN DOWN AND REBUILT) CAN BE TURNED INTO CLASSROOMS AND THE TOP TWO FLOORS INTO OFFICES. IN THIS WAY, THE SPACES IN ORIGINAL BUILDING, 21 CHARTER OAK AVENUE, CAN BE CONVERTED ENTIRELY INTO CLASSROOMS. 25 CHARTER OAK AVENUE WILL PROVIDE SOMETHING ELSE. IT WILL HOUSE AN OFFICE IN WHICH PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSIONS CAN TAKE PLACE. OUR YOUTH ARTS INSTITUTE HAS JUST BECOME WHAT WE CALL ACES-AWARE/TRAUMA INFORMED.
