THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MUSEUM IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA, WILL EVALUATE AND REFINE THE CONTENT OF ITS MUSIC-BASED RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES FOR SENIOR AUDIENCES. THE MUSEUM ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED THE VIDEO MUSIC PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MUSIC THERAPY PROGRAM AT ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY TO ADDRESS SENIORS' SOCIAL ISOLATION DURING THE PANDEMIC. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COVENANT HEALTH NETWORK, THE MUSEUM WILL ASSESS THIS CONTENT AND DEVELOP A PLAN FOR FUTURE PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION THAT SUPPORTS SENIOR AUDIENCES RECOVERING FROM THE PANDEMIC. THE MUSEUM WILL EVALUATE THE VIDEO MUSIC COLLECTIONS AT 40 SENIOR LIVING FACILITIES, WHERE PARTICIPANTS WILL ANSWER QUESTIONS RELATED TO USABILITY, SATISFACTION, AND FUNCTIONALITY. BASED ON THE EVALUATION FINDINGS, THE MUSEUM WILL CREATE ADDITIONAL VIDEO CONTENT TO SUPPORT SENIORS' PSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH.
