TAHLEQUAH PEACEFUL WARRIORS WAY RECOVERY PROJECT - THE TAHLEQUAH MEN'S SHELTER WILL PROVIDE RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES TO OUR TARGET POPULATION OF ADULTS, AGES 18 AND UP, ALL DEMOGRAPHICS, WHO ARE INITIATING OR MAINTAINING THEIR RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER IN CHEROKEE COUNTY, OK AND SURROUNDING RURAL COUNTIES. WE WILL PROVIDE DIRECT RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES 150 PARTICIPANTS OVER THE THREE-YEAR PROJECT. THE PRIMARY GOALS OF THIS PROGRAM ARE TO EXPAND LONG TERM PEER SUPPORT SERVICES, ESTABLISH A COLLABORATIVE RECOVERY ORIENTED SYSTEM OF CARE, AND TO RAISE AWARENESS TO REDUCE STIGMA RELATED TO ADDICTION AND RECOVERY.
