The Modern Greek Studies Association is an international organization that fosters and advances Modern Greek Studies in North America. To that end, the MGSA organizes a biennial interdisciplinary symposium and publishes the premier peer-reviewed Journal of Modern Greek Studies and occasional reference works. Serving as a hub for scholarship and research, teaching and learning, and professional development, the MGSA also supports the establishment and consolidation of Modern Greek Chairs and Programs in North American universities and colleges. From its earliest foundations, the MGSA has been committed to promoting public understanding of the Greek world while defending academic freedom.
