THE UPPER DELAWARE COUNCIL WILL ALSO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, PENDING THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS, TO THE DIRECTLY AFFECTED STATES AND THEIR POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF RELEVANT LAWS, PLANS, AND ORDINANCES TO SUBSTANTIALLY CONFORM WITH THE OBJECTIVES OF THE LEGISLATION AND FOR THE IDENTIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS, SITES, STRUCTURES, DISTRICTS, AND OBJECTS, AND FOR THE PROTECTION OF HISTORIC RESOURCES.
