THE WELCOMING CENTER'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT BROAD ECONOMIC PARTICIPATION BY HELPING PEOPLE FROM MANY BACKGROUNDS BUILD SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, AND COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. WE AIM TO EXPAND ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS OF ALL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS AND STRENGTHEN THEIR ABILITY TO NAVIGATE LOCAL SYSTEMS AND PURSUE LONG-TERM WELLBEING. WE BELIEVE THAT WELCOMING NEW RESIDENTS, WORKERS, AND ENTREPRENEURS HELPS STRENGTHEN PENNSYLVANIA BY SUPPORTING POPULATION RENEWAL, STABILIZING NEIGHBORHOODS, AND CONTRIBUTING NEW IDEAS TO THE REGIONAL ECONOMY. WHEN THE STATE IS A PLACE THAT ATTRACTS PEOPLE WITH A VARIETY OF EXPERIENCES, IT BECOMES MORE VIBRANT, MORE INNOVATIVE, AND BETTER POSITIONED TO COMPETE WITHIN A GLOBAL MARKET. WE COLLABORATE CLOSELY WITH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYERS, BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS, TRADE UNIONS, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS TO DELIVER EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS.
