THE MISSION OF THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB IS TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS MORAL, RESPONSIBLE, CARING, AND PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. THE PROPOSED VISTA PROJECT ALIGNS WITH THE EDUCATION AND OPIOID EPIDEMIC CNCS FOCUS AREAS. THE VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK TO BRING YOUTH OUT OF POVERTY BY INCREASING THEIR CHANCES OF A BRIGHT FUTURE THROUGH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES PROVIDED TO THE YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WE SERVE. 5 VISTA MEMBERS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT BY CONTINUING THE PROCESS OF MARKETING STEAM PROGRAMS BEING OFFERED AT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB, INTEGRATING OUR NEW OPIOID PREVENTION AND EDUCATION INITIATIVE, PROMOTING PARENT EVENTS, ORGANIZING COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS, AND RESEARCHING GRANT OPPORTUNITIES OVER THE COURSE OF THE VISTA PROJECT YEAR.
