THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART HIGHLIGHTS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMING, EXHIBITION AND INITIATIVES; IN THE LAST YEAR THE MUSEUM ADDED 41 WORKS OF ART WITH EXPANSIONS IN THE AMERICAN COLLECTION, CONTEMPORARY ACQUISITIONS AND AFRICAN ART. SEVERAL SIGNIFICANT WORKS WERE ADDED TO THE COLLECTION OF OUTDOOR SCULPTURES IN THE MUSEUM PARK. THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART SHOWCASED EIGHT TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS THAT SPANNED TIME, CULTURES AND ARTISTIC GENRES. THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART PROVIDED NEARLY 11,300 PROGRAMS, INCLUDING TOURS, SCHOOL PROGRAMS, FAMILY AND ADULT PROGRAMS, TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, STATEWIDE OUTREACH, CONCERTS, PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS, AND DIGITAL RESOURCES ENGAGING OVER 262,000 PEOPLE ACROSS ALL 100 NORTH CAROLINA COUNTIES AND BEYOND IN ADDITION TO ITS ANNUAL ATTENDANCE OF 1,079,895.
