STRENGTHEN TIES BETWEEN PUBLIC GARDENS, STATE PLANT REGULATORY OFFICIALS, AND APHIS BY PROMOTING REPORTING PATHWAYS AND ENGAGEMENT WITH DIAGNOSTIC NETWORKS. NUMEROUS INTERCEPTIONS AT HOT ZONE SITES REINFORCE THE NEED FOR INTENSIVE SURVEILLANCE. THIS SURVEY WILL IDENTIFY WAREHOUSES WITH INFESTATIONS OF EXOTIC WOOD BORING BEETLES BEFORE THEY BECOME ESTABLISHED IN THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. EARLY DETECTION OF THESE SPECIES WILL LIMIT SPREAD AND AID IN ERADICATION.
