Dimensions Dance Theater's (DDT) mission is to create, perform, and teach dance that reflects the lives and historical experiences of the African Diaspora. We fulfill this mission through the presentation of traditional African, Caribbean, Brazilian, and African American dances and contemporary, social justice driven choreography drawn from Africa, jazz, and modern dance idioms, and the provision of related educational programming for children and youth throughout Oakland and the East Bay.
