THE COLORADO CHILDRENS ALLIANCE WILL IMPLEMENT TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE COORDINATED SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE TO ENHANCE SERVICES, PROMOTE EFFICIENT COORDINATION WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PARTNERS, AND PROTECT CHILD VICTIMS OF ABUSE. THERE IS SIGNIFICANT NEED IN COLORADO FOR BETTER DATA MANAGEMENT FOR VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE, PARTICULARLY FOR THE SECURE STORAGE OF EVIDENCE, SUCH AS FORENSIC INTERVIEWS OF A CHILD. PROJECT ACTIVITIES WILL ADDRESS THAT NEED AND WILL INCLUDE ONBOARDING NINE NEW CACS ONTO A DATA TRACKING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; ONBOARDING 11 NEW CACS ONTO A DATA STORAGE AND TRANSFER SYSTEM; AND PROVIDING ONBOARDING AND CONTINUED TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO CACS AND THEIR TEAMS. THIS PROJECT WILL BENEFIT CHILD ADVOCACY CENTERS (CACS), THEIR MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM PARTNERS, AND THE CHILDREN THEY SERVE, WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE AND MALTREATMENT, ACROSS THE STATE OF COLORADO. EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE IMPROVED CASE COORDINATION IN JURISDICTIONS USING THE DATA SYSTEMS AND REDUCTIONS IN THE NUMBER OF CASES OF LOST OR MISHANDLED DATA.
