MARLEY'S MISSION EMPLOYS A TEAM APPROACH TO HEALING CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA. ALL TREATMENT IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. THE TREATMENT TEAM CONSISTS OF A SPECIALLY TRAINED TRAUMA THERAPIST AND AN EQUINE SPECIALIST. THE TREATMENT TEAM HAS BEEN EDUCATED IN AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED EQUINE-ASSISTED THERAPY MODEL (EAP) (ALSO KNOWN AS EQUINE-FACILITATED PSYCHOTHERAPY - EFP) DEVELOPED BY THE EQUINE ASSISTED GROWTH AND LEARNING ASSOCIATION (EAGALA). MOREOVER, MARLEY'S MISSION HAS DEVELOPED PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH FRIENDSHIP HOUSE, A LEADING PROVIDER OF TRAUMA THERAPY IN THE REGION. WITH THIS RELATIONSHIP, FRIENDSHIP HOUSE STAFF NOW HAS ACCESS TO SPECIALIZED TRAINING, HORSES, AND STABLES AT MARLEY'S MISSION AS WELL AS THE USE OF OUR EQUINE SPECIALISTS. THE MISSION IS PROUD OF THE DIVERSITY OF TREATMENT PROVIDED ON ITS CAMPUS.
