THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES WILL BE MET BY THIS PROGRAM: • IDENTIFICATION OF A FACILITY FOR TRAINING PER OHIO MINIMUM WEATHERIZATION STANDARDS AND FEDERAL AND STATE LEAD HAZARD MITIGATION GUIDELINES, AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL HEALTHY HOMES SUBJECT MATTER AS PARTNERS DEEM APPROPRIATE AND ADDITIONAL FUNDING IS BRAIDED. • RENOVATION OF THE FACILITIES AS NECESSARY TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A COAD HUB, AS WELL AS A CERTIFIED BPI TRAINING AND TESTING FACILITY. • SECURING WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES LIKE FINANCIAL EDUCATION, STIPENDS, TRANSPORTATION VOUCHERS, AND LICENSING FEES. • RECRUITMENT, TRAINING AND MENTORING A DIVERSE WORKFORCE, INCLUDING LICENSED MINORITY CONTRACTORS, WILL INCREASE THEIR CAPACITY TO COMPETE FOR WEATHERIZATION AND LEAD MITIGATION JOBS, BOTH AS DIRECT EMPLOYEES OR AS CONTRACTORS WORKING FOR WAP PROVIDERS.
