HOPE PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL IMPLEMENT THE FY 2023 SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROJECT IN THE CITY OF HOPE, ARKANSAS TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF SCHOOL SAFETY THREATS AND CREATE SAFER SCHOOLS. THE PROJECT WILL ENHANCE THE PHYSICAL SAFETY OF STUDENTS, STAFF, AND FAMILIES THROUGH INCREASED BUILDING SAFETY ACHIEVED BY VISITOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, GRAND MASTER KEY SYSTEM WITH CLASSROOM DOOR LOCKS, UPDATED CAMERA SYSTEM AND ACCESS CONTROLS. THE HOPE SVPP WILL ALSO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TRAINING FOR ALL STAFF ON SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF THE HOPE SCHOOL SAFETY TEAM. THIS PROJECT IS ENDORSED BY THE HOPE POLICE DEPARTMENT, WHO SERVES AS A KEY COMMUNITY PARTNER.
