MICHIGAN COALITION AGAINST HOMELESSNESS' MISSION IS TO BE DEDICATED TO CREATING A SUSTAINABLE, STATEWIDE VOICE AND THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND SYSTEMIC CHANGE NEEDED TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES TO END HOMELESSNESS. THE VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK TO ASSIST HOUSING SERVICE PROVIDERS WITH BUILDING THEIR CAPACITY IN ORDER TO BETTER SERVE INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING AND AT-RISK OF HOMELESSNESS AND EXPECTS TO BENEFIT 8 ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THOSE EXPERIENCING OR AT-RISK OF HOMELESSNESS. EIGHT (8) VISTA MEMBERS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT BY PERFORMING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS CREATING/EXPANDING PARTNERSHIPS, FACILITATING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND AWARENESS, IMPLEMENTING VOLUNTEER SYSTEMS, AND GENERATING FINANCIAL RESOURCES OVER THE COURSE OF THREE YEARS.
