AT THE END OF THE FIRST PROGRAM YEAR, THE AMERICORPS MEMBERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING STUDENTS DEMONSTRATE IMPROVED ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN LITERACY AND MATH, AS WELL AS INCREASED PREPARATION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND CAREERS THROUGH COLLEGE ADMISSION AND PERSISTENCE. IN ADDITION, THE AMERICORPS MEMBERS WILL LEVERAGE AN ADDITIONAL 620 VOLUNTEERS WHO WILL BE ENGAGED IN SERVICE PROJECTS THAT SUPPORT AND IMPROVE THE COMMUNITIES WHERE COLLEGE POSSIBLE OFFICES ARE LOCATED.
