A CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL TEAM WILL WORK WITH A CURATOR-IN-RESIDENCE TO DEVELOP A SUITE OF ENGAGEMENTS TO REACH ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, CHILDREN AND THEIR GUARDIANS ATTENDING MUSEUM CLASSES AND EVENTS, AND ST. LOUIS-BASED ARTISTS. THE PROJECT WILL PRODUCE MULTIDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMS FOR THREE EXHIBITS INCLUDING IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCIES, FIELD TRIPS TO THE MUSEUM, ART-MAKING WORKSHOPS, AGE-APPROPRIATE EXHIBITION STUDY GUIDES, A SELF-GUIDED ART HUNT FEATURING OTHER LOCAL ARTS EVENTS, AND TOUCHABLE OBJECTS AT THE EXHIBITIONS SUPPORTING CHILDREN’S TACTILE LEARNING. AS A RESULT, THE PROGRAMS WILL FURTHER THE MUSEUM’S STRATEGIC PLAN PRIORITIES TO DEEPEN EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND DIVERSITY ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION AND ENSURE THE MUSEUM IS ACCESSIBLE AND RELEVANT TO THE COMMUNITY.
