THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY, FAMILY-ORIENTED RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE CITIZENS OF EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH; PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL AND CHARACTER BUILDING SKILLS; PROMOTE CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS FOR CERTAIN RECREATION OPPORTUNITIES; ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL GROUPS TO ACCOMPLISH MUTAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES; PROMOTE BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL AND OTHER INDOOR SPORTS AND COMPETITIONS AS A QUALITY RECREATION EXPERIENCE BENEFITING THE HEALTH, WELLNESS AND MENTAL WELL BEING OF THE PARTICIPANTS AS WELL AS BENEFITING THE COMMUNITY OF EAST BATON ROUGE; AND PROMOTE BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL AND OTHER INDOOR SPORTS AND COMPETITION EVENTS AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION WITH ECONOMIC BENEFITS TO THE COMMUNITY.
