Our mission is to see that every child in New Mexico sleeps in a clean comfortable bed. Our motto is: No more Sleeping on the floor! Unfortunately the percentage of children in NM living in poverty is the highest in the nation. We believe that a good night's sleep is essential for overall mental and physical health as well as education success. In the Albuquerque metro area thousands of children ad their families are sleeping on floors sofas or 4-5 to a bed. The families we serve may be recovering from homelessness domestic violence fire disease or the death of a parent. We also serve foster and adoptive parents who graciously accept children into their homes and grandparents taking on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren. We also serve children who age out of foster care. To date we have placed over 14,000 people in new or gently used beds free of charge.
