THIS PROJECT WILL ADDRESS THE FOCUS AREAS OF HEALTHY FUTURES AND MILITARY VETERANS AND WILL STRENGTHEN RESOURCE AND VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT IN THE ORGANIZATIONS COMPRISING A STATEWIDE NETWORK OF RECOVERY COMMUNITY CENTERS FOCUSED ON ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND VETERANS TRAPPED IN ADDICTION AND / OR EXPERIENCING AN OVERDOSE RELATED TO OPIOIDS. A VISTA MEMBER WILL BE PLACED IN EACH OF NINE RECOVERY COMMUNITY CENTERS AND WITH THE BOISE CENTRAL OFFICE OF RECOVERY IDAHO IN BOISE. THE VISTA MEMBERS WILL ASSIST CENTERS EXPLORE AND DEVELOP COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO MEET A VARIETY OF NEEDS PRESENTED BY THOSE WHO RECEIVE RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES. THE VISTA MEMBER PLACED WITH RECOVERY IDAHO IN BOISE WILL HAVE A SPECIAL FOCUS ON IDENTIFYING AND REACHING VETERANS RESOURCES, ALONG WITH OTHER MORE GENERAL RECOVERY RESOURCES AN ELEVENTH VISTA MEMBER WILL SERVE AS VISTA LEADER AND PROVIDE ONGOING PROBLEM-SOLVING SUPPORT, ASSISTANCE WITH TRAINING, AND STATEWIDE COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE OTHER TEN VISTA MEMBERS.
