THE MISSION OF HELPING MAMAS IS TO CONNECT HELPING MAMAS TO MAMAS NEEDING HELP. WE ARE THE BABY SUPPLY BANK OF METRO ATLANTA. THE PROPOSED PROJECT ALIGNS WITH CNCS FOCUS ARE HEALTHY FUTURES. THE VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK PROVIDE ESSENTIAL BABY ITEMS TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN LIVING IN POVERTY. PROVIDING ESSENTIAL BABY ITEMS WILL ALLOW INFANTS AND CHILDREN TO BE SAFE AND HEALTHY AND MOTHERS THE OPPORTUNITY FOCUS ON MOVING OUT OF POVERTY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT MEETING THEIR CHILDREN'S BASIC NEEDS. THE PROJECT WILL SERVE APPROXIMATELY 2000 INDIVIDUALS A YEAR OVER A THREE YEAR TIME SPAN. LOW INCOME WOMEN AND CHILDREN ARE THE TARGET POPULATION. WE ARE SEEKING 5 STANDARD VISTAS AND 1 COST SHARE VISTA YEAR FOR THE PROJECT PERIOD. VISTAS WILL BE ENGAGED IN VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT AND DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION AND PARTNER AGENCY MANAGEMENT.
