THE INITIATIVE IS AIRPORT WILDLIFE HAZARDS MANAGEMENT. BIRD/WILDLIFE AIRCRAFT STRIKE HAZARDS (BASH) ARE A MAJOR CONCERN FOR THE USDA, FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION AND DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. A GRANT IS REQUIRED TO CO-SPONSOR THE 2025 AVIATION WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE. THE BIRD STRIKE COMMITTEE U.S.A. (BSC USA) AND THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF AIRPORT EXECUTIVES (AAAE) MANAGE AND HOST THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE. THE MEETING IS SPONSORED BY PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND AAAE WILL BE CHARGED $35,000.00. THE AWARD WILL HELP TO SUPPLEMENT THE FEE, ALLOWING MORE AIRPORTS TO SUPPORT THE MEETING.
