THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING UNDER THE INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT AND JOBS ACT (IIJA) FOR WHAT CHEER FLOWER FARM TO CONDUCT REMEDIATION ACTIVITIES AS AUTHORIZED BY CERLCA 104(K)(3) AT 63 MAGNOLIA STREET IN PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND. ACTIVITIES:SPECIFICALLY, THIS AGREEMENT WILL PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE RECIPIENT TO CLEAN UP A BROWNFIELD SITE(S). ADDITIONALLY, THE RECIPIENT WILL COMPETITIVELY PROCURE (AS NEEDED) AND DIRECT A QUALIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONAL TO CONDUCT ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ACTIVITIES, WILL CREATE A COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PLAN AND ADMINISTRATIVE RECORD FOR THE SITE(S), AND WILL REPORT ON INTERIM PROGRESS AND FINAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS BY COMPLETING AND SUBMITTING RELEVANT PORTIONS OF THE PROPERTY PROFILE FORM USING EPA'S ASSESSMENT, CLEANUP AND REDEVELOPMENT EXCHANGE SYSTEM (ACRES). SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:FURTHER, THE RECIPIENT WILL REMEDIATE 1 BROWNFIELD SITE(S) AND ANTICIPATES HOLDING UP TO 4 COMMUNITY MEETINGS, FINALIZING UP TO 1 ANALYSIS OF BROWNFIELD CLEANUP ALTERNATIVES, AND SUBMITTING UP TO 16 QUARTERLY REPORTS. THE PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS OF THIS PROJECT IS A COMBINATION OF AGING IN PLACE - INDEPENDENT LIVING, AND ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY - HEALTH FUTURES. AT THE END OF THE TWO-YEAR GRANT, AMERICORPS SENIORS VOLUNTEERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENABLING SENIORS TO CONTINUE TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY IN THEIR HOME/COMMUNITY AND ASSISTING SENIORS WITH MEALS/FOOD EITHER AT A SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER OR DELIVERED TO THE HOME OF THE SENIOR. THE AMERICORPS FEDERAL INVESTMENT OF $282,378 WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $31,565 OF NON-FEDERAL RESOURCES.
