THIS EDA INVESTMENT SUPPORTS BUILD BACK BETTER REGIONAL CHALLENGE (BBBRC) GRANTEES AS THEY PURSUE BBBRC PHASE 2 FUNDING AND LOOK TO IMPLEMENT LONGER TERM EQUITABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH. THROUGH THIS COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE, THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES, INC. COALITION, HOPES TO DRIVE LONG-TERM, EQUITABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH, WITH TRANSFORMATIVE OUTCOMES, PRIORITIZING HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS AND AREAS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THIS PROJECT WILL HELP LAUNCH A NETWORK OF PRACTICE AMONG PHASE 1 GRANTEES; HELP TO ENSURE PHASE 1 GRANTEES HAVE BOTH GENERAL AND INDIVIDUALIZED, PROJECT-SPECIFIC TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE; AND CONNECT SIGNIFICANT FOLLOW-ON RESOURCES FROM ALIGNED FEDERAL AGENCIES AND PHILANTHROPY TO SUPPORT THE BBBRC APPLICANT COMMUNITY, AND WORK WITH APPLICANTS TO TAP INTO THESE RESOURCES.
