AS AN APPLICANT FOR THE SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM (SCP), WE ARE REQUESTING 58 VOLUNTEER SERVICES YEARS (VSYS). TOTAL CNCS FUNDING FOR THE PROJECT IS $304,142. THE TOTAL PROJECT COST IS $337,936 WHICH INCLUDES THE 10% NON-FEDERAL SHARE OF $33,794. OUR REQUEST INCLUDES $4,000 OF THE AVAILABLE $15,071 IN ADDITIONAL FUNDING. WE DIRECTLY OPERATE EIGHT (8) OF THESE VOLUNTEER STATIONS WITHIN OUR LOCAL OFFICES AND/OR WELLNESS CENTERS, AND PARTNER WITH AN ADDITIONAL SIX (6) COMMUNITY PROVIDERS, HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, DEPARTMENTS OF SOCIAL SERVICES, AND HOUSING AUTHORITIES THAT SERVE OUR TARGET POPULATION OF SENIORS AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES 60 YEARS AND OLDER. OUR VOLUNTEER STATION ROSTER HAS CHANGED SINCE LAST YEAR'S CONTINUATION GRANT SUBMISSION. WE WERE UNABLE TO MAKE A SCP VOLUNTEER MATCH AT JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES - EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THIS STATION IS CURRENTLY INACTIVE. WE ARE WORKING TO ESTABLISH VOLUNTEER STATIONS THROUGHOUT OUR SERVICE AREA AND TO EXPAND PARTNERSHIPS OUTSIDE OF THOSE WE NORMALLY CULTIVATE.
