WV CASA CONTINUUM OF CARE - WEST VIRGINIA CASA ASSOCIATION, INC. (WV CASA) WILL IMPLEMENT THE WV CASA CONTINUUM OF CARE, AN EVIDENCE-INFORMED MODEL TO PREVENT AND TREAT CHILD ABUSE ACROSS WEST VIRGINIA. CASA CORE MODEL VOLUNTEER ADVOCACY IS THE FOUNDATION OF THE PROJECT. WITH THIS FUNDING, ALL TWELVE LOCAL CASA PROGRAMS PRIORITIZE CASA CORE MODEL WORK OF RECRUITING, SCREENING, TRAINING, AND ACTIVATING VOLUNTEERS TO ADVOCATE FOR CHILDREN IN ABUSE AND NEGLECT PROCEEDINGS ACROSS THE 36 WEST VIRGINIA COUNTIES CURRENTLY SERVED BY CASA. PROGRAMS THAT ALSO OFFER EARLY INTERVENTION, VISITATION CENTER SUPPORT, AND POST-PERMANENCY SUPPORT LAYER THOSE SERVICES ON TOP OF THIS SHARED FOUNDATION, STRENGTHENING FAMILIES BEFORE AND AFTER COURT INVOLVEMENT AND ADVANCING SAFE REUNIFICATION. OVER THE 12-MONTH PROJECT PERIOD, WV CASA WILL RECRUIT 30 NEW VOLUNTEERS, SERVE 100 NEW CHILDREN, AND SERVE FAMILIES THROUGH EARLY INTERVENTION, POST-PERMANENCY SUPPORT, AND VISITATION CENTERS.
