THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT IS TO PROVIDE ARP RESOURCES TO EXPAND THE PROJECTS WORK IN THE AREA OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND SCHOOL READINESS. TO DO THIS, SOUTH CAROLINA FIRST STEPS WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING HIGH-LEVEL ACTIVITIES: EXPAND CAPACITY BUILDING SERVICES FOR SOUTH CAROLINA FIRST STEPS PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. THIS WILL BENEFIT LOW INCOME, RURAL, AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES SERVING PARTNERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT SOUTH CAROLINA'S 46 COUNTIES. GENERAL EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE HAVING 1000 CHILDREN DEMONSTRATE GAINS IN SCHOOL READINESS. THIS AMENDMENT REVISES THE BUDGET TO INCLUDE $50,000 IN ARP FUNDING. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AWARD REMAIN UNCHANGED.
