THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THIS PROJECT IS SCHOOL READINESS FOR THE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE EDUCATIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL OUTCOMES OF ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL OR EXCEPTIONAL NEEDS. AT THE END OF THE THREE YEAR GRANT, STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12 THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE MENTORING OR TUTORING OF THE CNCS SUPPORTED SERVICE LEARNING PROGRAM WILL DEMONSTRATE IMPROVED ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT. THE CNCS FEDERAL INVESTMENT OF $313,550. WILL BE SUPPLEMENTED BY $34,839. IN KIND FUNDS. THE $$34,839.
