COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY OF SOUTH ALABAMA'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WHICH PROMOTE AND CREATE SELF-SUFFICIENCY IN INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES. THE PROPOSED VISTA PROJECT ALIGNS WITH THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOCUS AREA OF CNCS. THE VISTA PROJECT WILL SEEK TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT PLAN THAT PROVIDE ADDITIONAL REVENUE STREAMS WITH A GOAL OF 10% OF CAASA'S OPERATING BUDGET COMING FROM NON-FEDERAL FUNDING BY JUNE 30, 2022. THIS WILL IMPROVE THE LONG TERM SUSTAINABILITY OF CAASA, BUT WILL ALSO BENEFIT AT LEAST 10 OF OUR PARTNER REFERRAL ORGANIZATIONS IN OUR SERVICE AREA THROUGH THE INCREASE CAPACITY GAINED THROUGH THIS PROJECT. CAASA REQUESTS FIVE (5) VISTA MEMBERS WHO WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT BY PERFORMING ACTIVITIES RELATED TO RESEARCHING, DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING A COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING PLAN AS WELL AS A COMPLEMENTARY FUNDRAISING PLAN.
