RURAL HOSPITAL PROVIDER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - TISHOMINGO HEALTH SERVICES, INC. IS REQUESTING FUNDING THROUGH THE RURAL HOSPITAL PROVIDER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO SUPPORT THE MAINTENANCE OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND PRESERVE ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR RESIDENTS OF TISHOMINGO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI AND THE SURROUNDING SERVICE AREA. GRANT FUNDS WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT CONTRACTED EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROVIDER COVERAGE, HELPING ENSURE CONTINUED ACCESS TO EMERGENCY CARE SERVICES IN A RURAL COMMUNITY. MAINTAINING PROVIDER COVERAGE IS CRITICAL TO SUSTAINING ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES AND MEETING THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF LOCAL RESIDENTS. THE PROJECT WILL HELP TISHOMINGO HEALTH SERVICES, INC. ADDRESS ONGOING WORKFORCE AND PROVIDER COVERAGE CHALLENGES WHILE MAINTAINING ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY EMERGENCY SERVICES. BY SUPPORTING HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS WHO DELIVER ESSENTIAL CARE, THE PROJECT WILL STRENGTHEN THE HOSPITAL'S ABILITY TO CONTINUE SERVING PATIENTS AND REDUCE THE RISK OF DISRUPTIONS IN HEALTHCARE ACCESS. THE PROJECT PERIOD IS SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 29, 2027.
