THE ELECTRIFY MONTEREY BAY PROJECT’S OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE WHOLE-HOUSE ELECTRIFICATION, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AND HEALTH AND SAFETY (H&S) REMEDIATION TO LOW-INCOME, HIGH ENERGY BURDEN HOUSEHOLDS AND SERVE AS A PILOT PROGRAM TO PROVIDE MODELED HOMES FOR FUTURE CASE STUDIES ON THE CLIMATE AND H&S BENEFITS OF ELECTRIFICATION. CCES WILL ACCOMPLISH THE GOAL BY INITIALLY TREATING LIHEAP AND/OR DOE DEFERRED HOMES AND EXPECTS TO ELECTRIFY AT LEAST 50 HOUSEHOLDS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND CONTRIBUTE TO STATE AND FEDERAL CARBON REDUCTION GOALS.
