THESE ORGANIZATIONS PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN ADVANCING THE GOAL OF ENDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, DATING VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND STALKING. GRANT FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: PROVIDING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS, EXPANDING THE TECHNOLOGICAL CAPACITY OF COALITIONS AND/OR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS, DEVELOPING OR ENHANCING APPROPRIATE STANDARDS OF SERVICES FOR MEMBER PROGRAMS, INCLUDING CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE SERVICES FOR UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS, CONDUCTING STATEWIDE, REGIONAL AND/OR COMMUNITY-BASED MEETINGS OR WORKSHOPS FOR VICTIM ADVOCATES, SURVIVORS, LEGAL SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE REPRESENTATIVES, BRINGING LOCAL PROGRAMS TOGETHER TO IDENTIFY GAPS IN SERVICES AND TO COORDINATE ACTIVITIES, INCREASING THE REPRESENTATION OF UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS IN COORDINATION ACTIVITIES, ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE COALITION-BUILDING AT THE LOCAL AND/OR STATE LEVEL, OR COORDINATING AT THE FEDERAL, STATE AND TERRITORY LEVEL WITH JUDICIAL OR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO DEVELOP OR ENHANCE STRATEGIES. THE ACASA WILL CONDUCT A PRIMARY PREVENTION CAPACITY ASSESSMENT ITS READINESS TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT EQUITY-FOCUSED SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON ASSESSMENT - THE ACASA WILL CONDUCT A PRIMARY PREVENTION CAPACITY ASSESSMENT OF THE ACASA'S READINESS TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION STRATEGIES AND DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON ASSESSMENT FINDINGS TO PROMOTE HEALTH EQUITY AND ADVANCE PRIMARY PREVENTION. THE PROJECT WILL ENHANCE THE EXPERTISE OF THE COALITION IN PRIMARY PREVENTION, HEALTH INEQUITIES FOCUS, INCREASED THE USE OF DATA TO INFORM PROGRAMMATIC DECISIONS, ESTABLISHED PARTNERSHIPS THAT INCREASE THE COALITION'S ABILITY TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF POPULATIONS, IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR INDIVIDUALS, COMMUNITIES, AND COMMUNITIES IN THE POPULATION(S) AND COMMUNITIES OF GREATEST NEED MOST AFFECTED BY SEXUAL VIOLENCE. OUTCOMES WILL BE ACHIEVED BY MAY 31, 2024, AND WILL INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF ACASA STAFF EXPERTISE AND INCREASE AVAILABLE RESOURCES. CAPACITY OF THE COALITION WILL BE INCREASED BY THE UNDERSTANDING OF AVAILABLE DATA SOURCES IN ARKANSAS THAT MAY BE USED TO IDENTIFY POPULATION(S) AND COMMUNITIES OF FOCUS AND INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF CURRENT ACASA PARTNERSHIPS, AND HOW THESE PARTNERSHIPS ARE/ARE NOT MEETING THE CURRENT AND FUTURE PRIMARY PREVENTION AND HEALTH EQUITY WORK NEEDS. AN INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF ACASA’S CURRENT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROVISION AND HOW WELL IT INCORPORATES HEALTH EQUITY WILL ALSO INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF THE COALITION TO PROVIDE THIS TYPE OF ASSISTANCE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CDC RAPE PREVENTION EDUCATION FUNDED PROGRAMS WITHIN THE STATE OF ARKANSAS.
