THESE INDIVIDUALS QUALIFY UNDER HVRP, IVTP, AND HWVHVWC FROM THE SERVICE DELIVERY AREA THAT INCLUDES 23 SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA PARISHES. THE SERVICE DELIVERY AREA INCLUDES THE LOUISIANA PARISHES OF ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION, AVOYELLES, CONCORDIA, EAST BATON ROUGE, EAST FELICIANA, JEFFERSON, LAFOURCHE, LIVINGSTON, ORLEANS, PLAQUEMINES, POINTE COUPEE, ST. BERNARD, ST. CHARLES, ST. HELENA, ST. JAMES, ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, ST. TAMMANY, TANGIPAHOA, TERREBONNE, WASHINGTON, WEST BATON ROUGE, AND WEST FELICIANA.ACTIVITIES TO BE FUNDED INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF SERVICE DELIVERY AND MANAGEMENT OF THE PROGRAM SUCH AS OUTREACH ACTIVITIES, ORIENTATIONS, INTRODUCTION AND INTAKE, ASSESSMENTS, GOAL SETTING, DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUALIZED CAREER PLANS, RESUME PREPARATION, OCCUPATIONAL SPECIFIC TRAINING, CORE DIGITAL SKILLS, CAREER FUNDAMENTALS, WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT, CREDENTIAL OBTAINMENTS, NETWORKING INTERVIEWING, EMPLOYMENT, EVALUATION, AND MENTORSHIP. GRANT FUNDS WILL SUPPORT EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT OF PARTICIPANTS AND JOB COACHING FOR PARTICIPANTS. FUNDS WILL ASSIST WITH TRANSPORTATION, CHILDCARE, OBTAINING UNIFORMS OR WORK-RELATED ATTIRE AND OR WORK-RELATED TOOLS, HOUSING FOR FORMERLY INCARCERATED VETERANS, OBTAINING TRAINING MATERIALS, REMOVING FINES AND FEES, OBTAINING LICENSES AND COVERING BACKGROUND CHECKS, BUSINESS START-UP COSTS, WORKPLACE ACCOMMODATIONS, IMMEDIATE NEED AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS, PARTICIPANT WAGES FOR ON-JOB-TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, AND INCENTIVES FOR COMPLETING ICP GOALS AS WELL AS OBTAINING AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT.INTENDED BENEFICIARIES OF GOODWILL SELA HVRP ARE VETERANS EXPERIENCING OR AT-RISK OF EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS AS WELL AS VETERANS TRANSITIONING FROM INCARCERATION AND WOMEN VETERANS AND HOME VETERANS WITH CHILDREN (HVRP). HOMELESS VETERANS AS DEFINED IN THE HOMELESS EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND RAPID TRANSITION TO HOUSING ACT OF 2009 (VETERANS WHO ARE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS WITHIN THE NEXT 60 DAYS VETERANS PARTICIPATING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SUPPORTED HOUSING PROGRAM FOR WHICH RENTAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED PURSUANT TO SECTION 8(O)(19) OF THE UNITED STATES HOUSING ACT OF 1937) THE TRIBAL HUDVA SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM VETERANS PARTICIPATING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERAN FAMILIES PROGRAM VETERANS WHO ARE RECEIVING ASSISTANCE UNDER THE NATIVE AMERICAN HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND SELF-DETERMINATION ACT OF 1996 HOMELESS WOMEN VETERANS AND HOMELESS VETERANS WITH CHILDREN VETERANS WHO ARE RETURNING HOME FROM JAIL OR PRISON AND FORMERLY INCARCERATED VETERANS WHO ARE AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS.GOODWILL SELA PROPOSES TO SERVE 76 VETERANS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS EACH YEAR. THROUGH THE COURSE OF SERVICE DELIVERY, GOODWILL SELA WILL ASSIST ENROLLED VETERANS IN OVERCOMING BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT RESULTING IN: 62% RECEIVING TRAINING SERVICES 66% BEING PLACED INTO EMPLOYMENT $15.50 AVERAGE HOURLY WAGE AT PLACEMENT 35% IN UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT 2ND QTR AFTER EXIT $6,207 MEDIAN QUARTERLY EARNINGS 2ND QTR AFTER EXIT AND 25% IN UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT 4TH QTR AFTER EXIT.GOODWILL SELA HAS MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING WITH: UNITY OF NEW ORLEANS, VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARDS, FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES, TRAINING PROVIDERS INCLUDING COMMUNITY COLLEGES, AND OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PROPOSED SERVICE AREA.
