FOSTER GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEERS WILL TUTOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS, TO STRENGTHEN EDUCATIONAL ACADEMICS AND SOCIAL SKILL THROUGH A NETWORK OF 32 STATIONS WHICH INCLUDE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, HEAD START CENTERS AND HANDICAPPED FACILITY. THE PRIMARY FOCUS WILL BE TO IMPROVE EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES FOR THE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE HEAD START CENTERS WITH EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO PREPARE THEM FOR SCHOOL READINESS, TUTOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TO IMPROVE THEIR ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL SKILLS FOR EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS IN K-12TH GRADES AND TO IMPROVE HANDICAPPED WITH ABILITIES TO WORK IN OUTSIDE AREAS OF THE COMMUNITY.
