DESCRIPTION:THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT IS FOR THE BENEFICIAL ELECTRIFICATION LEAGUE TO CONDUCT OUTREACH TO RURAL COMMUNITIES IN THE MIDWEST AND PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC SCHOOL BUSES. ACTIVITIES:THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: ORGANIZE IN PERSON EVENTS IN ILLINOIS, INDIANA, OHIO, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, AND WISCONSIN TO EDUCATE PARTICIPANTS ABOUT THE CLEAN SCHOOL BUS PROGRAM AND THE BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC BUSES; FACILITATE PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN SCHOOLS PURSUING FLEET ELECTRIFICATION AND THEIR ELECTRIC PROVIDERS; BUILD A NETWORK OF STAKEHOLDERS INVESTED IN FLEET ELECTRIFICATION FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES. SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE OUTCOMES OF THIS PROJECT WILL BE INCREASED AWARENESS ABOUT SCHOOL BUS ELECTRIFICATION AND ADOPTION OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES IN RURAL COMMUNITIES. THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES OF THIS PROJECT INCLUDE STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN RURAL AREAS OF ILLINOIS, INDIANA, OHIO, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, AND WISCONSIN.
