AWARD PURPOSE THE PURPOSE OF THIS GRANT OPPORTUNITY IS TO CREATE ECONOMIC MOBILITY, ADDRESS HISTORIC INEQUITIES FOR MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES OF COLOR AND OTHER UNDERSERVED AND UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES, AND PRODUCE HIGH-QUALITY EMPLOYMENT FOR WORKERS WHO RESIDE IN THE APPALACHIAN AND DELTA REGIONS, ENABLING THEM TO REMAIN AND THRIVE IN THESE COMMUNITIES. ACTIVITIES PERFORMED 1) ENROLL PRE-APPRENTICES IN SELF-PACED TRAINING, 2) ENROLL PRE-APPRENTICES IN FORGE INSTITUTE IT FUNDAMENTALS BOOTCAMP, 3) PROVIDE NECESSARY HARDWARE TO PRE-APPRENTICES AND INTERNS, 4) FUND WORK-BASED LEARNING (WBL) INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, AND 5) FUND RTI FOR RAPS. DELIVERABLES ACDS WILL PROVIDE SERVICES TO 375 PARTICIPANTS. THE 210 INTERNS AND APPRENTICES WILL RECEIVE NEW EMPLOYMENT THROUGH EACH PROGRAM. INTENDED BENEFICIARY DISLOCATED WORKERS, INCUMBENT WORKERS, AND INDIVIDUALS NEW TO THE WORKFORCE. SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES THE RECIPIENT DOES NOT INTEND TO SUBAWARD FUNDS.
