LED BY THE COUNCIL FOR ADULT EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (CAEL), IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TWO OF ITS MEMBERS, ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY MID-SOUTH (ASU-MS) AND COAHOMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE (CCC), ADT WILL STRENGTHEN THE WORKFORCE ECOSYSTEM IN THE DELTA REGION TO CREATE TALENT PIPELINES THAT ENGAGE MORE ADULT LEARNERS AND OTHER ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED RESIDENTS IN HIGH-DEMAND OCCUPATIONS IN THE TRANSPORTATION, HEALTH CARE, AND MANUFACTURING SECTORS. DELIVERABLES TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS PLACED IN EMPLOYMENT IN THEIR CAREER FIELD OR EXPERIENCING IMPROVED EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES: 393 INTENDED BENEFICIARY NEW ENTRANTS TO THE WORKFORCE, DISLOCATED WORKERS, AND INCUMBENT WORKERS. SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES ASU MS IS A COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY COLLEGE OFFERING BOTH TRANSFER AND TECHNICAL PROGRAMMING, A ROBUST CONCURRENT CREDIT ENROLLMENT PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, HOLISTIC STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMMING. LOCATED IN CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS WITHIN THE MEMPHIS MSA AND HAS A WIDE EMPLOYER NETWORK TO ACTIVATE FOR BOTH PLACEMENTS AS WELL AS INTEL ON SPECIFIC EMPLOYER SKILLS NEEDS. CCC IS AN HBCU, ESTABLISHED AS THE COAHOMA COUNTY AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR NEGROES IN 1924, AND IN 1950 BECAME THE FIRST EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION FOR NEGROES TO BE INCLUDED IN MISSISSIPPI'S SYSTEM OF PUBLIC JUNIOR COLLEGES AND TO BE ELIGIBLE TO SHARE IN FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY THE MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE. CCC IS ACCREDITED BY THE SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS COMMISSION ON COLLEGES AND OFFERS ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS IN MORE THAN 70 AREAS OF FOCUS.
