THE CURRICULUM WILL ALSO INCLUDE THERAPY AND COPING TECHNIQUES FROM CASA DC’S CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER. IN ADDITION, EXPANDING ON HIGH-QUALITY, CULTURALLY RELEVANT, AND RESPONSIVE ART METHODS FOR JUSTICE-INVOLVED RACIAL AND ETHNIC MINORITY YOUTH. THIS PROGRAM WILL CONNECT ART AND THERAPY AS A WAY FOR YOUTH TO LEARN NEW SKILLS, HEAL FROM TRAUMA, AND FIND A WAY TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES. EXPECTED OUTCOMES ARE THE REDUCTION OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, RECIDIVISM, AND OTHER PROBLEM AND HIGH-RISK BEHAVIORS.
