NAVIGAYTE BROOKLYN 2.0 - CAMBA’S NAVIGGAYTE BROOKLYN 2.0 WILL PROVIDE SUBSTANCE MISUSE AND HIV/HEPATITIS PREVENTION NAVIGATION SERVICES TO MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN (MSM) AND TRANSGENDER/GENDER NONCONFORMING (TGNC) INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN, AGES 13 AND ABOVE, IN BROOKLYN COMMUNITIES MOST IMPACTED BY THE HIV EPIDEMIC. THESE INCLUDE BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, CROWN HEIGHTS, EAST NEW YORK, AND FLATBUSH/EAST FLATBUSH. COMMUNITY INFLUENCERS WHO ARE LGBTQ+ PERSONS OF COLOR WILL CONDUCT IN-PERSON AND ONLINE OUTREACH ON LGBTQ+ DATING APPS/HOOK UP SITES TO RECRUIT CLIENTS INTO A MULTI-PRONGED INTERVENTION CONSISTING OF: SEXUAL HEALTH, HEPATITIS, AND SUBSTANCE MISUSE SCREENING; BRIEF INTERVENTIONS AND EDUCATION SESSIONS; LINKAGE TO BIOMEDICAL AND BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS; AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. THE PROGRAM WILL USE SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES; RISK REDUCTION STRATEGIES; SUBSTANCE USE, HEPATITIS, AND HIV PREVENTION OPTIONS; AND ANTI-STIGMA MESSAGING. CAMBA PROPOSES TO SERVE 160 INDIVIDUALS IN THE FIRST YEAR OF THE PROJECT, AND 240 INDIVIDUALS EACH SUBSEQUENT YEAR, FOR A TOTAL OF 1,120 INDIVIDUALS SERVED. BY PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE PREVENTION NAVIGATION SERVICES TO MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR IN BROOKLYN, CAMBA AIMS TO INCREASE POSITIVE HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR THIS VULNERABLE POPULATION, INCLUDING: - DECREASING NEW HIV INFECTIONS; - INCREASING AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF BIOMEDICAL INTERVENTIONS (PREP/PEP/TREATMENT AS PREVENTION); - INCREASING EARLY LINKAGE TO PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FOR NEWLY DIAGNOSED HIV AND/OR HEPATITIS-POSITIVE INDIVIDUALS; - DECREASING SUBSTANCE MISUSE THROUGH THE USE OF EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES THAT ADDRESS EARLY INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT FOR THOSE WITH, OR AT RISK FOR, SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS; AND - INCREASING AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF CULTURALLY COMPETENT SUBSTANCE MISUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AMONG THE MOST NOTABLE OUTCOMES FOR THE PROGRAM, WE ANTICIPATE THAT BY THE END OF YEAR FIVE: - 326 MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WILL HAVE RECEIVED A BRIEF INTERVENTION RELATING TO SUBSTANCE USE RISKS, 288 INDIVIDUALS WILL HAVE RECEIVED A REFERRAL TO A PROVIDER FOR SUBSTANCE USE ASSESSMENT OR TREATMENT, AND 75 WILL HAVE BEEN CONNECTED TO A PROVIDER; - 60 MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WILL HAVE BEEN LINKED TO A PREP/PEP PROVIDER; - 25 OF THOSE LINKED TO A PREP PROVIDER WILL BE TAKING PREP ON AN ONGOING BASIS; - 100% OF HIV + MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WHO ARE NOT IN CARE AT THE TIME OF THE SCREENING/INTAKE WILL BE LINKED TO HIV PRIMARY CARE WITHIN 30 DAYS; - OF THOSE LINKED TO A PROVIDER FOR HIV PRIMARY CARE, 90% WILL HAVE HAD A PRIMARY CARE VISIT WITHIN THE PAST SIX MONTHS; - 60 MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WILL HAVE RECEIVED HEPATITIS SCREENING WITHIN THE PAST YEAR AND KNOW THEIR HEPATITIS STATUS; AND - 180 PREP-ELIGIBLE MSM AND TGNC INDIVIDUALS OF COLOR WHO INDICATE A NEED WILL BE LINKED TO HOUSING AND OTHER HEALTHCARE SUPPORT SERVICES.
